Big Horn Mountain, or He Sha, is located in the Pine Ridge escarpment of the U.S. state of Nebraska. Located in Banner County, it is the third-highest peak in the state.[1] The peak was named for the Bighorn Sheep that once roamed its flanks,[2] and were reintroduced in the 1970s.[3]
Located 9.2 miles east of Harrisburg, many local people have carved their names at the top of the peak, dating to at least 1887.[4]
