Big Hardee

The Big Hardee was a brand of hamburger introduced in 1995 by Hardee's restaurants. The sandwich was created in an attempt to compete with McDonalds' Big Mac and Burger King's Whopper, as there had been no signature sandwich at Hardee's in the past.

The sandwich's television ad campaign featured characters from the ABC comedy Coach, played by Jerry Van Dyke and Bill Fagerbakke.

During the commercial, Luther proceeds to eat the Coach's Big Hardee until the Coach comes, then he has Dauber hold on to the Coach's Big Hardee.
