Big C Appeal

Big C is a cancer charity in England.

Based in Norwich, Norfolk, the Big C is a local independent charity committed to the care and support of those affected by cancer and their families throughout Norfolk & Waveney. The Big C is not affiliated to a national charity; it exists independently and solely to raise funds for local people affected by the disease.

Big C funds cancer equipment such as the Digital Mammographic Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn. Big C funds support and care at the Big C Family Cancer Information and Support Centre based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Big C also funds world-class cancer research undertaken at the UEA Biomedical Research Labratories and the Institute of Food Research.

With the help of the local community the charity has raised more than £12 million since its foundation in 1980.
