The BigPond 400 is a V8 Supercar event held annually at Barbagallo Raceway in Western Australia. The name of the event comes from its corporate sponsor, BigPond (a brand name of Telstra) and despite being called the BigPond 400, the total race distance is actually only 360 kilometres.
Like most V8 Supercar events, the BigPond 400 is staged over a three-day weekend (Friday-Sunday). Practice is held on Friday with a 55-minute qualifying session on Saturday, followed by the first of three 120-kilometre (approx. 75-mile) races. The final two races are held on Sunday. The winner of the event is determined by points accumulated over all three races.
