[edit] Contested move request

The following request to move a page has been added to Wikipedia:Requested moves as an uncontroversial move, but this has been contested by one or more people. Any discussion on the issue should continue here. If a full request is not lodged within five days of this request being contested, the request will be removed from WP:RM.Stemonitis 06:19, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

This situation is only present because you redirected this page to biff (disambiguation) having moved "biff" to biff (computing). Since the core of your argument concerns whether or not that is the primary meaning of "biff", I think more discussion is needed on the pair of moves as a whole. I know of no simple way of determining primary usage other than asking around i.e. a full move request (per the instructions at WP:RM. --Stemonitis 06:19, 16 July 2007 (UTC)
  • Support the move, and move biff back to biff (computing). There are many uses of biff, and I imagine that biff as a computing term is familiar chiefly to Unix users, who are likely a small minority of the public. ●DanMSTalk 20:55, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Biff, when somebody gets hit in the face (biffed). Another word for feeling sick or I biffed my tooth (chipped).Another word for I biffed a ball in somebody's face" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.208.234.129 (talk) 08:39, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "One's BFF" Vandalism

It seems that throughout the history of this article, there has been a lot of vandalism mentioning "one's bff". An example is "Biff is also used when referring to one's "bff".". I have removed this one, but they seem to keep appearing. It seems that people who don't know what they are doing are adding these comments randomly throughout the article. Biff, meaning hit somebody directly in the face for example." I am seriously going to biff you man". Another meaning is to feel sick for example "I am really not feeling good and feeling biff" or it can be used to descripe a picture or thing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.208.227.239 (talk) 14:31, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
