Biedrusko

Biedrusko is a village, located in Western Poland, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, some 10 kilometers north of the outskirts of Poznan, on the Warta river. In 2006 it had 2200 inhabitants. For the first time Biedrusko was mentioned in the end of XIV wieku;back then, it was called Besdrofsko. The village is famous for its huge military training ground, which was organized by the German Army at the beginning of the XX century. After World War One, the training ground was taken over by the Polish Army, and it has been used by it since then, with the exception of World War Two.
