Bidhannagar Government High School is one of the premier educational institutions in West Bengal, India. Established as a secondary school on April 18, 1977, it was promoted to the higher secondary level later. The first Headmaster of this School was the late Satyendranath Roy. Almost ever since its inception , BNGHS students have shown notable achievements in west bengal state board examinations, securing a place in state top 20 almost every year. It is the first government co-educational senior secondary school established in West Bengal. The medium of teaching is Bengali till date.
