Bidache

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bidache (Occitan: Bidaishe; Basque: Bidaxune) is a small village (about 1000 inhabitants over 30 sq. Km.) and commune in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques département of southwestern France.

It is located in the former province of Basse-Navarre, but it was a little principality since Antonio I (of the Gramont family) proclamed himself sovereign prince in 1570, until the Revolution finished it.
