[edit] International Festival of Children's Theaters
Hello Bi-ba-bo. I've been looking at the article you're creating at User:Bi-ba-bo ... it's very fine, but it has a number of formatting issues, where you are going outside wikipedia conventions. These would include:
- Bullet & numbered lists are the wrong format & have poor line spacing. Use * to get a bullet and # to get a number ... no spaces between items on the list
- Use of emboldening is mostly inappropriate. Only the title of the article in paragraph 1 should be bold.
- Use of UPPER CASE is always inappropriate
- Use of HRs (----) is always inappropriate
- The external link URL to the festival is broken.
I presume you are preparing this as a wikipedia article ... I'd be happy to assist you with formatting, should that be of any use to you. Let me know. (I think, too, that you are not a native English speaker ... the text could do with a subedit for better readability.) Best wishes --Tagishsimon (talk) 11:19, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well, this is my first time here..and I am not really sure I know what I am doing. I would really appreciate it if you helped me with editing. Thank you.
- I am not native English speaker, you are right. Please, feel free to subedit.
- As for the external link to the festival, I am familiar with the fact that it doesn't work. Unfortunately, there are some temporary server problems.
- Thank you once again.User:Bi-ba-bo

- Okay. I'll go through the article in about a half hour ... need some food first :) --Tagishsimon (talk) 12:04, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
You are great! I almost love you right now. :) User:Bi-ba-bo
- Okay, I'm done with the article for now. It is probably worth making the comment that some wikipedians may not like the very long lists ... especially the participants list. Do not be surprised if someone comes along and edits them out ... then again, they may stay there forever.
- There is more linking which could be done - e.g. to each Theatre Company, and to each Town in the participants list. Maybe some other time.
- I remember hearing about this festival on a UK radio programme ... it was very well reviewed, and made the point that Children's Theatre was not as advanced in the UK as maybe it is in continental Europe. So that was interesting.
- I hope you create many more articles! best wishes - Tagishsimon (talk) 13:24, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your effort. Now everything is much better organized. I have had some doubts concerning participants list, as whether to include it or not, but eventually I thought that it represented festival biography... I have seen several wikipedia articles with long lists included, so I thought there might be a chance for it to stay there. We'll see. I intend to create links to web sites of theatre companies (next weekend perhaps, if this article stays). Some of them can be found only in original language, you know, so if you don't know Russian, Bulgarian, or Greek it might be a little complicated to find them, although not impossible. :) I am glad you have already heard about this festival. Best wishes, Lola User:Bi-ba-bo
P.S. I wonder.. when will this article become visible to all Internet users? What is the procedure?
