Bhurban

Bhurban is a small town and a hill station in Punjab, Pakistan. It is located approximately 13 kilometers from Murree city.
It is one of the most picturesque places in the country, it is a tourist paradise with fauna, flora and a wide variety species of animals not found elsewhere in Pakistan. It is known for a nine hole golf course, which is golfer delight during the summer season. There is also a 5 Star hotel in Bhurban, which serves as a focal point and a very popular point for tourists in the Murree Hills.

Although the resort is known as Bhurban, Bhurban is in fact the name of the nearby forest.
The village itself is called "Rawat" which is also the headquarters of the Union Council of the same name. Rawat union council is an administrative sub-division of Murree Tehsil in the Rawalpindi District of Punjab.
The union council of Rawat includes the village of Rawat and surrounding areas (including Bhurban). Bhurban is situated on the all weather Murree to Kashmir road at a height of about 6000 feet.

Javed Miandad, the famous Pakistani cricketer, was obviously displeased with the way the Pakistan Cricket Board conducts its business when he fumed:
"Every Tom, Dick and Harry will go there and enjoy. It is not that easy to earn money these days. This is sheer wastage of precious funds. Since there is no accountability, no constitution and no planning, those at the helm are destroying everything."
