Bhoo

Bhoo is a small village situated in Rajapur Taluka & Ratnagiri District of Maharashtra, India.

Bhoo is a lush, green, picturesque village that boasts ample bittlenut, cashews, coconut and Alphonso mango gardens. Situated 8 km northwest of Rajapur, Bhoo has a population of less than 1000. It is well connected to Rajapur and Ratnagiri by ST buses. Approximately 1.5km from Bhoo, there stands a holy temple, dedicated to the maiden goddess Shree Aaryadurga. There is a [Dharamshalas|dharamshala]] at Aaryadurga. One needs to write a letter before visiting.

There is a cluster of temples, comprising of Lord Lakshmikant, Lord Shiva (Shankar) & Goddess. Dashavtar Loknanatya (Folkdrama) is played by local artists every year.

Climate: 15 to 35 °C & is cool, even in summer.

How to reach: Buses from Rajapur service neighbouring villages such as Pendkhale, Satvali, Devihasol, Kotapur; via Bhoo. Nearest Rail station: Rajapur, approximately 30 km.
