RAO BHOJRAJ, he was born in 1567 (Bhadwa Sudi 11, samwat 1624), Bhojraj was the ruler of Udaipurwati 1621/1640, a generous, brave and noble person. He was the son of Raja Shri Raisal Ji Saheb of Khandela and his 4th wife, Rani Hansa Kanwar Mertani Ji Sahiba of Merta (daughter of Jagmal Viramdevot of Merta). He received the “Kosambi” in 1608 as his jagir by his father, where he settled down in 1608 A.D(samwat 1665), it was later renamed Udaipurwati, he was granted a mansab of 800 zat and 400 sawars, later raised to 1000 zat and 500 sawars. In 1582 A.D (samwat 1639), he represent his father, Raja Raisal in the battle of Kangra.
In 1596, the year of famine, he started the construction of a tank, namely the “Bhoj Sagar” (in Khandela) for the relief of famine sufferers. He constructed the Fort in 1682 and a famous Bhojbagh Garden.

Rao Bhojraj Ji married 11 Ranis, 1st Rani Anop Jadav Ji, daughter of Gopal Singh Bharmalot, 2nd Rani Parag Kanwar Nirban Ji, 3rd Rani Prabhavati Nirban Ji, daughter of Purnmal Hemrajot of Papurana, 4th Rani Keshar Solankhi Ji granddaughter of Surajmal, 5th Rani Lalmati Solankhi Ji, 6th Rani Ram Kanwari Panwar Ji, daughter of Pooja Shardul Singh of Malpura, 7th Rani Raj Kanwar Tanwar Ji, 8th Rani Ratana Tanwar Ji, daughter of Hari Singh, 9th Rani Panwar Ji, daughter of Suryamal Pratapsinghot of Shri Nagar, 10th Rani Kanak Kanwari Tank Ji, daughter of Changerai Vigsinghot, 11th Rani Badana Tank Ji, daughter of Raghunath Singh Premsinghot. He had three sons and died c1640 at Khandela.

Rao Bhojraj was the ancestor of Bhojraj Ji Ka sept of Shekhawats.
