As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Bheramara has a population of 144221. Males constitute are 51.55% of the population, and females 48.45%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 72279. Bheramara has an average literacy rate of 28.1% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
