[edit] Regarding photos
Thanks a lot foe such nice photos. Here is one suggestion:
You do not have to write such a long sentence as "I clicked this picture from my legally bought digital camera, on the trip to somanath. I hold no copyright and this is not a picture from some website in internet." Ypu can jusr write "This is a photo of ___ taken by me" , may be you add the date. And also it would be excellent if you add some info on the place. And also do not forget to add, as you are doing perfectly, the license tag. Regards. --Dwaipayan (talk) 15:46, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] More
I see you have already added youeself in Wikiproject History of India. Thats great. Please visit Portal:India. Here you will get many more projects, and articles, and links etc. However, the portal is not wxhaustive. So continue simple surfing of Wikipedia as well. I am taking the loberty to add a category to your userpage, Indian Wikipedians. If you click on the category you will be taken to a category where Indian wikipedians are listed. Again this category may not be exhaustive, there are perhaps many more Indian wikipedians around. Please feel free to contact at my talk page for any matter. Happy wiking. Cheers! --Dwaipayan (talk) 15:53, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: of your queries
1. How did you come to of my post and the fact that i updated them recently? Is there any administration? I would be encouraging others to contribute to wiki and hope to find out if any of them really put up...hence asked.
Re: You can have articles under your watchlist, by clicking the "Watch" button on the panel above the body of the article. (the panel of buttons containing "article", "discussion", "history" etc). Then, if you later click on "My Watchlist" (which is on the above-most panel of buttons) you can see the latest changes made to the articles already under your watchlist.
"WikiProject History of India " was under my watchlist. As I went to see my watchlist, I saw that you have last edited that page. In the watchlist, you get the name of the user who had made the last edit on your watched article. Not only that, you get links to that user's contribution and that user's talk page. I clicked to see your contributions. There is list of contributions made by all users. Here I provide you with a link where you can see what I saw when I went to see yout contributions. Here is the link:[1]
Also, whenever you create a new article, that is automatically added to your watchlist. You can later chose not to warch an article by clicking "Unwatch" (Unwatch button replaces the "Watch" button once you start to warch an article) See Help:Watching pages for further knowing the process.
2. Is there a way to make all the messages in my discussion page come to my mailbox? I may not be seeing this regularly but definitely keep a watch on my mailbox..
Re. No there is no such way. At least I do not know if such a way exists.
3.By the way, are there any award for good/regular posts...i saw some in your discussion board. what are they?
Re: Yes. Any users can award any other user awards. Those are called Wikipedia:Barnstars after Barnstar. Such awards are given on the talk page, which the recipient can display on his/her user page.
Comment Please sign yout talks in other user's pages and discussion pages of article, by clicking the "signature" tool (3rd from the right) on the toolbox right above the edit window (where you type). On clicking that a sign like this will appear ~~~. This means, when you save the page, your name, along with date and time will appear. Also always chack your edits before saving by clicking "Show Preview" below. Also provide a short edit summary in the "Edit summary" box after editing. Foe example, after adding a pic, write there "added image of xyz".
See Help:Contents for more infoemation about everything. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 18:45, 8 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Bharadwaja.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Bharadwaja.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:06, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
