Greetings! On 25th March 2006, I entered my 2nd year of wiki-life. The life here is exciting, and full of challenges. The page named Rendezvous with Wikipedia:the second year is intended to be used by me as a multi-purpose document, including month-wise diary notes.
During my second year of my wiki-life, I shall be adding more contents to 100s of stubs and pages, created by me during the first year of my wiki-life; moreover, I shall endevor to be active in all the wiki-dimensions, including defending the Project, and making it Better than the Best, and realizing the objectives of the dream of Jimbo Wales (the founder and the President of the Wikimedia Foundation) and his team.

April 2006
- I had a long wiki-absence from 3rd April to 24th April 2006 on account of serious sickness and I remained confined to bed during the period, and Internet access was not allowed to me. I returned to wikipedia with much wiki-hunger, and did 100s of edits for last few days of April 2006. I may add that during first few days of my sickness, I found myself editing wikipedia during my dreams!

- I continue to be still recouping [1], but my wiki-hunger continues to be rather high – I can not live without wikipedia. As such, for the time being, in order to extinguish my wiki-hunger, I am concentrating on routine edits like tagging talk pages with {{Reqphotoin}}, {{Reqmap}} , {{Reqdiagram}}, and{{Reqimageother}}. Addition of, photographs, maps, other images as appropriate shall surely improve the quality of our pages. --Bhadani 07:50, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
- In view of one of my wiki-commitments, I am in the process of identifying redlines, and shall strive to make them glow wiki-blue by creating stubs of reasonable size. --Bhadani 07:57, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
- Since identified:
- On account of certain recent edits, my wife apprehends threats of cyber-stalking/ physical-stalking, and I was constrained to make a request at [2], [3], and [4]. I record my thanks to the administrators who took very prompt action, and immediately deleted the requested images. --Bhadani 15:11, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- The month-end came with a disturbing note: shall we lose User:SlimVirgin [5]?
- Barnstar/s presented:
June 2006
- During this month, I propose to do at least 100 new pages this month, each page a reasonable size stub of around 500 words.
- I crossed 30,000 edits.
- I am ending my 15th month of wiki-life (today, 24th June 2006 probably with around 35,000 edits and I topped the day by uploading 15 images (GFDL-self) of Singapore and Malyasia - to give a new dimension to my contributions.
- Barstars presented:
July 2006
- 1st July: I know number of edits are not important, and thus making 35,000+ edits by 30th June 2006 is a rather small matter - it is a small beginning for me.
- Mostly inactive till mid-August 2006 on account of my stepped-up rendezvous with the Simple Wikipedia
- Barstars presented:
August 2006
- Counting edits is sometimes “foolish”, as the number of edits may not reveal all the relevant aspects. As such, completing 35,500+ edits by me at the beginning of August 2006 does not make much sense to me. --Bhadani 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- From 10th June 2006, my commitment to larger interest to the Project took me to Simple English Wikipedia, where I propose to continue on a long-term basis. --Bhadani 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- I do have a futuristic vision for the Project in its “entirety”; and I do believe that all pages of English Wikipedia should be translated into all other languages. As such, delineating the pages with may look like “pointless edits” to someone (or may be to many); however, it works, IMHO, as an invitation to editors having the required linguistic abilities and flairs to translate our pages into other language/s. Yes, we are building the sum total of human knowledge – not only in the English language, but in many other languages, and our edits, even the most minor ones, should convey this message and the aspiration of the Wikimedia Foundation. --Bhadani 5 August 2006 (UTC)
September 2006
- The highlight of this month, and my wiki-life of 18 months was an evening with Jimmy Wales at Bangalore, India. He met a number of Indian wikipedians on 29th September, 2006: [9]

- I attended WikiCamp 2007 in Chennai where 300 persons from many parts of India had assembled to participate in an unconference and Jimmy Wales was the the key participant. The event was covered in print and electronic media.
March 2007
- It has nothing to do with Essjay and I still respect his contributions and value addition to the Project. However, the matter of having identities veiled behind the thick wall of anonymity began to perturb me when I found that editors who were shrouded in mystery like enigmas sometimes took advantage of editors like me having an open identity. As such, I had commented long back that “Wikipedia must have a system to record real identities (albeit not disclosed to all but kept confidential with the records of Wikipedia Foundation) of users after they attain a particular hierarchical level, say, the level of being administrators.” [10] Perhaps, the time has come to ponder over the issue in a constructive manner.
- I plan to write a book named My Rendezvous with Wikipedia:Autobiography of a Wikipedian. But, I plan more and do a little. BTW, these Rendezvous Pages have nothing to do with the planned book as envisioned by me.
- On 24th March, 2007, I entered the third year of my life as a Wikipedian. I feel really happy that I could continue here for two long years, and I am sure that the third year shall be like my first year and not like the second year when I was just hanging around most of the time. --Bhadani 02:55, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
