[edit] About Bhavani sword.-- Vishal1976

It is popular belife that goddess Bhavani gave herself King Shivaji the famous Bhavani sword. As a child and till now i also belived this lwgend. New search has been made in this feild. Ther is great despute about where the actual, true Bhavani sword is now present. I have come through a book named Book Name:-Shree Shiv Chatrapatinche Saptaprakarnatmak Charitra. Author:-Malhar Ramrao Chitnis. In this book ther is several accounts, referncess about Goddess Bhavani and King Shivaji. It is very true that Goddess Bhavani was very happy (Prassana) to King Shivaji and the Bhosale clan from generations to genrations. She helped King Shivaji to regain freedom, form kingdom. Goddess Bhavani use to talk with King Shivaji and play wind in his body ( Angat sanchar hone, Wara khelne ). But their is no reference that Goddess Bhavani gave the sword to King Shivaji so far i came accoros. It is mention that their was a sword a barron in Konkan made in Portugal and king Shivaji liked it and he bought it. Goddess Bhavani had once given boon to King Shivaji that she is present in his sword. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.247.141.219 (talk) 08:30, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
