Bhawani Prasad Mishra (March 29, 1913 — February 20, 1985) was a Hindi poet and author. Known for writing in a very distinct "everyday-language" style, he had strong faith in Gandhian thoughts and was known for fearlessly expressing his views.
He published about 22 books between 1953 and 1983 and was honored with Sahitya Academy Award for the year 1972 for his book Buni Hui Rassi. Among numerous other honors he received was being declared a Padmshree by the Government of India
