Bharathidasan Institute of Management

Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM), Tiruchirapalli, Tamilnadu state, India, is a partnership between Bharathidasan University and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited(BHEL). It occupies some 15 acres on the eastern half of the Khajamalai campus of the university.
BIM was formed in August 1984, by Bharat Ratna Shri, C.Subramanian and Prof. P.S.Mani Sundaram, the Vice-Chancellor of Bharathidasan University. It has an annual intake of 120 students onto its fee-paying MBA programme.
It has a close association with the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) as sole collaborator for training selected scientists from DRDO as technology managers.
BIM has recently formed an academic collaborative partnership with Bangalore Management Academy (BMA) on the latter's campus.
