[edit] Historical View
It is said to be home of vidhur of mahabharata. This town has given great contribution in the fight for freedom of india.Even its name was derived from the fact that after the Mutiny of 1857, English placed banners on all of Bewar's entrances saying "BEWARE". But, with time, the "E" was lost and "BEWAR" is what is left. There were many freedom fighters here who sacrificed their life for freedom. Every year a mela(Shahid Mela) is arranged in the rememberance of those Shahids(freedom fighters). The founder of this mela is Mr. Jagdish Narayan tripathi who has done so much effort in the development of this town.
