[edit] Coniston Old Man

Hello. I stumbled on to an error on this page while I was working on my own project to map the most prominent fells in England. I have no interest in starting wikipedia articles or anything like that but when I saw something in this article being presented as a fact when it is simply wrong I decided I would correct it. The Old Man of Coniston is not the seventh most prominent mountain in England like the article asserts, it is the twelfth. A list can be found at [1] if you are interested and the same information can be found in wikipedias own lists of marylins. I don't know how to put a citation into the article but I don't really think this is needed here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.145.242.35 (talk) 20:54, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Cheers for that, it is one of my favourite fells and I just wanted the information to be correct. By the way, all that stuff about vandalism on the talk page you sent me a message on is nothing to do with me. That was my first ever edit but it seems I share my IP address with a moron. Anyway thanks once again.--81.145.242.35 (talk) 22:59, 26 January 2008 (UTC)C

[edit] Franz von Werra

No worries! It certainly isn't something that comes up very often! AirdishStraus (talk) 20:43, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Apologies over my edit with the caps issue at the start of the sentence; I had been misinformed. On speaking to a colleague in Germany it appears that it should be capitalised at the start of a sentence, but that Werra is probably better used than Von Werra in these circumstances. Live and learn, eh! AirdishStraus (talk) 15:53, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Your change in the above edit was correct. Thanks for catching it. Makes me feel kind of stupid retypoing a typo. :) Rockfang (talk) 12:11, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

I've given them another warning; I'll check back later today or tomorrow to see if they've vandalized again, but you may want to report to AIV, instead (faster). · AndonicO Engage. 21:16, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

k, if I see it again at AIV I'll do the needful. sorry sometimes I don't have time to fully check things out during the day =). xenocidic (talk) 01:56, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
