[edit] Series 3

What's with the release date for series 3? It states a much earlier release of the DVD in Europe than in the USA (though it was the other way around with seasons 1 and 2). And while Amazon.com let's you pre-order the DVD, amazon.co.uk has not even a page for it... and the region 2 release should be in a month?? That'a akward, where did the release date come from??

Although it is not uncommon for a series to be released first in Europe, there is currently no region 2 release date for season 3 and so the Nov 2007 was clearly put there by mistake.79.69.58.227 11:37, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DVD SALES

Where is the source for the DVD sales being slow? Where Im from they were all sold out?

[edit] Title

I wonder if the title of this page shouldn't be Beverly Hills, 90210 , including the comma. Fox seems to be somewhat inconsistent about how they spell it, but checking out their 90210 site, it has the comma more often than not, and that's also how the IMDb spells it. -- Arteitle 05:06, 6 Feb 2004 (UTC)

I've moved it for these reasons, and also more importantly the title credit in the Season 1 opening is Beverly Hills, 90210 in plain text, before they moved to the stylized circular logo for Season 2 and up. The comma is also included in the credit for "Beverly Hills, 90210" Theme in the ending credits of at least Seasons 1 and 2 (I don't have any more episodes on hand to check further than that). --Msgohan 00:37, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

Should 90210 redirect here, or does that conflict with the year 90210? Edward 16:56, 10 Sep 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Dylan McKay

Dylan McKay - father dies in car bombing right in front of his eyes - wasn't that a fake to protect his father as witness? didn't he meet his father years later?

Yes he did, its been fixed.

[edit] Character links

None of the characters have articles of their own, yet each character name is now a link. I'm tempted to add some redirects to this page from the major character names, partly as a navigation aid, and partly to discourge people from writing stubs about them; and remove the links to characters. Any objections? Edward 07:23, 13 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] When did it become a soap opera?

Although there is no argument that for most of its run, 90210 was a soap opera, I remember seeing the first few episodes and at least during that first year, it was anything but a soap opera. In fact it was more a family comedy-drama along the lines of Our House more than anything. I think this is worth noting, however I stopped watching after the first few months, and the next time I paid any attention to the show it was a couple of years later and it had become the soap opera. I think it should be noted when the format changed over. 23skidoo 03:30, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Yeah it was changed. same thing with photography. the ended up hiring Charles and Darren i think finished his theme song.

[edit] characters

If Donna's boyfriend Joe is listed as a character, then definitely Susan Keats and arguably Tracey Gaylian should be included as well. Susan was in almost every episode for an entire season, and Tracey was in the majority of episodes the following season.

I never understood why Kelly was considered the "good" girl while Valerie the vixen of the show. Kelly was also selfish and egocentric and Valerie was the only one who expressed it straight-out, being a bitch but a sensitive and insecure person as well. Sthenel

[edit] Subject Ordering

The obvious bias towards Brenda and Dylan notwithstanding, if the sections glorifying them should be included at all, it should be after the characters are introduced in the article. I'm moving it Zero X Marquis 22:09, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

I've returned it to its previous place for the sake of presentable spacing, but cleaned up some of the obvious, blanket bias that was indeed there. -- 207.69.137.11 04:00, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

And I'm putting it back. There's no way in hell the charcters should be stated as departing before the characters are introduced.Zero X Marquis 22:14, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Spoilers?

I know it's somewhat tedious, but do you think that the cast list which lists dates of actors leaving the should would be considered spoilers? For some shows (say, if it was 24), it would be pretty spoiling as most of the people that leave the show do so due to being killed, but for this should it's not exactly telling anything plotwise that they leave the show - however, I know other people might consider it spoiling to know that someone is leaving at the end of the season they are watching or whatnot... Thoughts? TheHYPO 09:12, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia/Misc

it seems the trivia section could be deleted or misc section could be renamed trivia. having the two seems strange to me, as the information could go in either section. The undertow 05:45, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Who the hell wrote "Brandon tries out for the Basketball team in the first season, named "Wildcats" which is also the name of Mary's Basketball team on 7th Heaven." I mean seriously what does this have to do with the show. I guess you could also write the Dylan Mckay and Bob Dylan both share a name, weird. TRIVIA! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.205.150.190 (talk) 19:57, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

I deleted it. That is hands down the most irrevelant piece of "trivia" I've ever seen on Wikipedia. Wildcats is also the nickname of about 5,000 other high school teams. I won't be too harsh in case a kid wrote that...I'd hope it wasn't the work of anyone over 14. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.4.202.22 (talk) 01:59, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Transcripts?

Are there any transcripts available for the show?--Hhielscher 17:39, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] original pilot

what the hell does this mean? the pilot we saw was the actual pilot or is it the whole The Green Room thing again? I never knew it existed74.195.9.240 06:55, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

In the case of 90210, the original pilot had Lyman Ward playing Jim Walsh. When the show was picked up, Ward was let go, and his scenes were reshot, so the original pilot would be the one with Lyman Ward as Jim.

[edit] ...on the Second Season DVD release as well as some episodes edited from their original broadcast versions

I know that some music has been replaced but has anyone more information about that edits that differ from the broadcast version? --213.212.1.52 17:35, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, I'll try guessing... didn't they maybe show a part of the R.E.M. concert, that some of the gang went to and wasn't it cut out together with the R.E.M. music? They will probobaly have to make another alternation due to this (they really should have done a deal with this group). In season 3 Brenda plays "Losing My Religion" constantly and the song is mentioned by name a couple of times. This will have to be cut out, as the song was replaced in season 2, so probobly will again be replased with the new and chessy Brenda & Dylan's song in 3. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.238.71.246 (talk) 20:15, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tori Spelling claims

One of the show's co-stars has published an autobiography in which she discusses behind-the-scenes relationships on the show. Should this be referenced here? 68.146.41.232 (talk) 15:01, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Brenda smoking

What episode does Brenda Walsh first appear in with a pack of Morley cigarettes? I am writing an article and need that information. From what I understand, it happens when she returns from Paris, but you do not have episode synopsis written yet for each episode. - LA @ 06:38, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

PS. You might want to add that to the Morley article.

[edit] New Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off from The CW Television Network

Could the new Beverly Hills, 90210 spin-off from The CW Television Network be titled Beverly Hills, 90210: The Next Generation? AdamDeanHall (talk) 13:54, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

I think it's best to hold off on that. The series was just announced yesterday. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bghosted (talkcontribs) 17:07, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
