The Beverly Road New York Subway station in Brooklyn station has the unfortunate distinction of having its name spelled incorrectly in the mosaic tiling. The new signs are correct but the mosaic omits the second 'e,' as does the token booth (at platform level) and the platform extensions of the 1960s. There is evidence of a closed crossunder. There is currently no pedestrian crossover.
A token booth clerk was murdered by a thief here in 1986.
