[edit] And God Created Woman

Hey great photo. I updated your upload to include a fair use rationale. See: click on the image on the page of article. Otherwise it will be tagged and deleted ASAP by some wiki-come-lately attorney make believe. We also need a source of the image: where on the internet did you find it? I'll look around, if you don't get back to me. Best-- ♦ Luigibob ♦ "Talk to Luigi!" 14:12, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

Hi: Okay thanks for getting back to me. I've added info to the snap. It's an intersting film. I've got a copy I think I'll dust off and check it out. Luigibob (talk) 15:48, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
Super good edits today on this film. Cheers -- Luigibob (talk) 00:11, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Office Romance (film)

Hi. You recently submitted the above to Wikipedia Biography Assessment. Unfortunately, the subject of the above article is not a person, and therefore it has been removed from the Assessment List. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 21:00, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Office Romance (film) and the use of quotes

Hi B.kerner: Happy holidays. I see you added tons or quotes to this article. You should know that a lot of editors quickly revert such additions because it violates the concept that "Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information." See: What Wikipedia is NOT. When I first started I used to add a lot of quotes as well because, well they were easy to find on IMDb. Then I learned what is expected of an encyclopedia by other Wikipedians (sometimes, me kicking and screaming). And it makes sense too. I mean one does not expect to open an encyclopedia article about a film and see listed 25 quotes. It's so much, generally, useless information. Notable quotes are accepted and a good example is the Godfather notable quote: "I made him an offer he couldn't refuse." I'll leave it up to you because it's an article you are working on (others would just revert at seeing so many quotes). I hope this helps and feel free to ask other Wikepdians. Hey you like films, join this motley group: Wikipedia:WikiProject Films. Best-- ♦ Luigibob ♦ "Talk to Luigi!" 23:05, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Oh yes, another idea is to include all your quotes in "WIKIQUOTES". Why not? HAPPY NEW YEAR!! ♦ Luigibob ♦ "Talk to Luigi!" —Preceding comment was added at 20:42, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for the image of Oleg Basilashvili

Thank you, Betty kerner, for your contribution to the article about Oleg Basilashvili. The image is good, it strikes like a guitar chord, and the movie is just right, one of my favorites. Have a Happy New Year! Steveshelokhonov 16:11, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Alfred affiche-1-medium.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Alfred affiche-1-medium.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. I did it already ;) --Betty kerner (talk) 19:06, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] A question

Hi Luigi! How are you doing? As I know, you contribute a lot to articles about foreign cinema, so I'd like to ask you to help me (please!). I'm confused about the following thing: when starting a page about a foreign film, should I choose its English or original title as a name for the article? In my understanding, since it's the English-language Wikipedia, the English title is preferred. Still, I often find articles about foreign films where the original titles are used as the default names. (for example: Fantômas se déchaîne, Les malheurs d'Alfred) And what if the film is widely known under its original name? I'm not consistent at this point: I started a page about one French film as Le Distrait, and as The Twin about another. Could you please explain what to do in this case? Also, believe it or not, I still can't figure out how to make it that if one clicks on Le Jumeau, he'd get on The Twin (which is the same name for the film, but in English). I'd be very thankful for your suggestions! --Betty kerner (talk) 18:54, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi Betty, thanks for contacting me. The quick answer is: it does not matter. I have started films with a Spanish title and later changed it to the more familiar English name. To be sure there is a lot of confusion in this area and the way the titles are spelled in their foreign language. That is, in the Spanish, French and Italian languages only the first word in a title and proper nouns are capitalized. As a general rule the film should end up with the name it is most popular in (how this is determined can be debatable). An example is the film: La strada.
In regards to the Le Jumeau question: you start an article under that name (Le Jumeau), but insted of information you ADD the #REDIRECT [[]] with "The Twin (film)" in the brackets. I can do it for you. Also I bet the correct name is "Le jumeau".
Finally, try to follow other films as an example. The goal is to try to follow the same format. For example in the film The Twin I see you have character names in italics, that is NOT the norm. Try to be uniform with the other film articles. I hope this hlps, best-- Luigibob (talk) 23:52, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Quick request

In the future, if you could use {{Film}} instead of {{FilmsWikiProject}}, I'd be very grateful. Although the latter one automatically redirects to the former, it has been deprecated, and we're trying to phase out its usage as task force tagging slowly occurs over the next year or so. Knowing that it's not being added to new articles would put me greatly at ease. Thanks! Girolamo Savonarola (talk) 04:09, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:And god created woman1.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:And god created woman1.JPG. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

[edit] And god created...whatever

What you hvve done to fix the problem in the picture is wrong and it will be reverted by someone, and soon. Every time you included the image you need a fair use rationale and be article specific. Learn that and it will serve you well. Luigibob (talk) 01:01, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Luigibob, Please learn to be civil and not shout. It doesn't do anyone any good. Dismas|(talk) 03:36, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Let me fix this. The caps, which I turn do often by mistake, go on. Sometimes, I just say screw it. See the re-write. Any problems? Jeeez...way too many sensetive nerves out there. Other than the stupid caps were on by error, where was I not-civil? Luigibob (talk) 07:21, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Hey Luigibob! Thanks fror your notice about adding fair use rat. for using the image a specific article, I got it. But as for the recent "problem", I thought I did it right by adding a link to the fair use criteries. Maybe I didn't fully understand the problem =/ Cheers.--Betty kerner (talk) 15:47, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
