[edit] thanks

my first ever Barnstar! Michellecrisp (talk) 01:43, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

...and thanks for the Bristol Rovers user box too! Good work. — Gasheadsteve Talk to me 12:39, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] And good evening to you!

I didn't know you were on Wikipedia. How did you find me - my edit to Cardiff, or my joining Wikipedia groups on Facebook? ;) Anyway, to make this comment Wikipedia-relevant: If there are any articles in English that you'd like to see included on the French Wikipedia, let me know and I can perhaps write a French stub at least. [edit] WP:RFR

Hiya, I'm just trying to get a sligh thandle before pressing the button here. Are you now intending to work at recent Change patrol for vandal fighting? What other instances would you use roll back for? Sincere apologies if this looks like an inquisition. Pedro :  Chat  15:51, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

I've granted rights - please use the tool cautiously and only for vandalism. Ta! Pedro :  Chat  16:13, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Inappropriate use of rollback

You used rollback here for an edit that does not appear to be vandalism. Please remember that rollback is generally only for vandalism. --- RockMFR 16:47, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cardiff

Bettia,

Good work on Cardiff, but just a small point Cardiff also has a hill to the east, see Rumney, Cardiff...Anyone who can be bothered to making daily edits to Cardiff deserves a Barnstar...Personally I have better things to do. Seth Whales (talk) 18:35, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

The Minor Barnstar
For tirelessly making minor edits that are essential in improving Cardiff. Seth Whales (talk) 18:35, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Peer Review

Ah well, it's the furthest City have been in years and I'm proud they got that far and didn't lose by too much! Anyway I've made a couple of comments on the peer review and will try to add more soon Welshleprechaun (talk) 11:19, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cardiff post peer review

Hi Bettia, I see you deleted the links to the List of largest United Kingdom settlements by population and the List of conurbations in the United Kingdom from the Cardiff intro. I'm happy to demote these links from the intro, but I do feel that they should remain in the article, partly to offset those perrenial POV arguments about the relative size of the city, e.g. here and here (remember those debates!) Although the census dates quickly, this kind of data on the population of cities and urban areas (as distinct from the population of the Local Authority districts that they are contained within) is only published following the census, so it will probably be some time after 2011 before we have the next set of similar data.Pondle (talk) 20:00, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

First congratulations on having the patience to help out Cardiff123098 on his return from a temporary ban. Secondly - any particular reason for removing the New Delhi reference? --Snowded (talk) 10:31, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

My childhood memories of spending too much time between the Museum and the Sasparella shop say that it was modelled on new Delhi, but I am not sure of the reference. Will have a look see --Snowded (talk) 12:33, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 6/1 DYK

Updated DYK query On 1 June 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Colchester Gladiators (American football), which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

[edit] Cardiff music scene

I have to disagree with you on this. The Cardiff music scene, as with music scenes of other major cities, includes acts from the surrouding area, not just the city itself. Examples include Sting and Bryan Ferry to Newcastle upon Tyne; The Coral to Liverpool and Jamelia to Birmingham. Welshleprechaun (talk) 11:26, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Spartans logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Spartans logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:18, 13 June 2008 (UTC)
