Talk:Bettina
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] I'd like to say someting about the name Bettina:
This name is also used ALL OVER THE WOLRD... and it's not truly a form of italian name Elizabeth that's why not truly an Italian name. Some people says it's a Greek name, some people says it's Italian or Latin, some people say it's Herbew and I hear sometimes it's English... Well most of the names are came from Latin or Hebrew names, so it's not truly Italian preferably it's Hebrew... but noone really knows how a name came from... :) The meaning of this name is: God's promise, I know it because Bettina is my name too. :P
My name is Bettina, it was my great grandmother's name as well. Her parents were from the Netherlands, and I have heard that in that region of the world, Bettina is a more common name than in the US. I read Bettina means Consecrated to God, but the origins of this name seem very vague. --Betzabel 17:49, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
