I re-added it [1]. I like them to help attract new contributors and others to add a picture for the individual when there are none. It links to a series of pages on uploading images to help simplify the process. I know people find them odd looking, but I actually like them since they serve as a placeholder for the eventual picture as well. Please at least put a reason here if you feel it should be pulled.
