Talk:Beth Liebling
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wikipedia is clogged with unknown "indie-rock" nobodies, a phonebook of un-accomplished pseudo musicians. What a joke.
[edit] Notability as a reason for deletion
While I'm not certain if this entry fulfils the requirements of notability, I would like to see Beth Liebling's role as a musician as her defining characteristic - I have rearranged the article accordingly. In the attempt to emphasize her musicianship, I added an entry for the band hovercraft, but it was deleted - so, there goes that... I would think that if she doesn't qualify as a musician, she shouldn't have an entry at all.
Counter Argument:
This person is notable because of her association with a widely-known American musical personality. The entry is short, concise, and completely appropriate. I'd like to see the article remain active.

fame, celebrity, and noteriety are not the only qualifiers for meaningful work, not to say it is discounted.,.... its the work that matters.. and for all women's posturing the past few decades.."It still ain't easy to be a woman in rock n' roll"...here is a real woman rock n roller that could have easily sold out because of her husband but chose not to.
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Pic-05.jpg
Image:Pic-05.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

She is jewish, buddhist and agnostic at the same time? What is this? Either she believes in religion, or not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.71.25.155 (talk) 22:53, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Every city?
"They toured every city in the United States, opening for the Foo Fighters and Mike Watt." I saw Hovercraft once and was greatly impressed. However, I bet you a gazillion dollars that the tour did not actually include every single city in the United States. Cheers. Mason1024 19:51, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
I was going to make this point as well. Every city is too big of a generalization. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.37.239.14 (talk) 14:21, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know anything about her, and in fact I don't remember how I ended up on this article, but I decided to edit that Hovercraft toured every single city in the U.S. Now thats a tour. "Good evening North Platte!" As it turns out, the article sucked me in and I tried to make things make sense. Since I don't know much about her, I might have misinterpreted things. --Stomme (talk) 19:21, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
