[edit] Ownership of the Rovers Return

Can I just point out that until 1995 the Rovers was owned by Newton & Ridley, not the licensees. This article speaks as if Annie Walker owned the pub, which she never did, and that Bet owned it between 1985-1995. This is the practice of many brewery-owned pubs in the UK, where the landlord or landlady is simply a tenant. The premise of Bet's departure storyline was that the brewery intended to sell the pub, but Bet couldn't afford the asking price. I have edited the article accordingly. [edit] 2002 return and departure

This article does not say how Bet's sudden disappearance was explained in the show's storyline. I saw her return but not her departure, so I don't know. Melbn 08:02, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
