Between the Trees is an indie rock band from Orlando, Florida.

Formed in early 2005, on September 19, 2006 they released their first album The Story and the Song, under the independent label Bonded Records. The record is scheduled for national release in 2007.[1] The band has been involved with To Write Love on Her Arms, a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting hope to those who struggle with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide.[1] Two songs on their album are based upon that organization and the problems it hopes to solve.

Between the Trees, developed in the west side of Orlando, began with lead vocalist Ryan Kirkland and the brothers, Josh and Jeremy Butler. In the early stages this small trio started as a worship band at thelement, the student ministry at Discovery Church. Soon after, in Spring 2005, they chose a keyboardist, Wes Anderson, to join them in this venture. Realizing a need for another guitarist, Between The Trees soon recruited Brad Kriebel, a close friend proficient enough to fill the spot. After finalizing the line up, this band began to write and collaborate different styles of music.

In early August, the band announced, via their MySpace, that they had signed with record label Universal Motown. The announcement came roughly two weeks after their stint on the Vans Warped Tour.

Between the Trees just finished up there tour with Mae, The Honorary Title and Far-Less.
