Between the Lines is the third album by British pop group Five Star, released in August 1987. The album peaked at no.7 in the UK and was later certified as Platinum.
Between the Lines was recorded in early 1987, pairing the group with producer Dennis Lambert and songwriter Diane Warren, who penned "Strong As Steel", the album's second single release (peaking at #16 in October 1987). Between the Lines also spawned two other hit singles: "Whenever You're Ready" in August 1987 (reaching #11), and "Somewhere Somebody" in December of that year (peaking at #23). By the summer of 1988, the album achieved platinum status for selling 300,000+ copies.
