Betti Alisjahbana has been part of the local IT industry for over two decades. She is currently the President Director of IBM Indonesia, having been appointed to the position on January 1, 2000. She is the first woman in IBM Indonesia and the Asia Pacific region to hold the IBM Country General Manager position.
Betti began her career at IBM in 1984 as a marketing trainee. Prior to her present role, she has held several key local and regional positions in IBM. These included Marketing Manager for IBM Indonesia (1990-1994), General Manager, Channels Marketing and General Business for IBM Indonesia (1994-1996), General Manager, General Business Marketing for IBM ASEAN and South Asia (1996-1998), General Manager, e-business and Cross Industry Solutions, IBM ASEAN and South Asia (1998). Her last posting before taking over the helm in Indonesia was Director for Sales and Marketing, IBM Indonesia.
Betti is the President Commissioner of IBM Jasa Teknologi Informasi. She is also on the Board of Trustees of The United States-Indonesia Society (USINDO) and recently been elected to sit on the Board of Trustees of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
Betti holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Bandung Institute of Technology.
