As of 2001 India census,[2] Betma had a population of 12,529. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Betma has an average literacy rate of 63%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 59% of the males and 41% of females literate. 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.

(1) Betma Sahib gurudwara is of historical significance for Sikhs. It is believed that Guru_Nanak Dev Ji visited this place.
(2) "Saeyad Sarkar" a Sufi Saint and Spritual guru resides in village Daulta Bad 10 km away on Depalpur road from Betma. People of different religion and all parts of India visit him to gain spritual knowledge and blessings.
(3) You can also enjoy sunset.On a lake 9 km towards Indore.Near the lake there is also an Ashram of devotees of Loard Hanuman on a mountain.
