As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Betagi has a population of 110926. Males constitute are 49.95% of the population, and females 50.05%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 57885. Betagi has an average literacy rate of 47% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. [2]
