[edit] History

Beta Omega Phi was founded at California State University, Los Angeles in 1965, and is one of the oldest Asian American fraternities at USC and SDSU. It was originally established as a social organization for Asian-Americans which would promote trust, unity, and friendship and an everlasting brotherhood for its members. The Beta chapter was the first nonwhite fraternity to have a house on USC's "Row." Beta Omega Phi's official sister sororities are CSULA Kappa Zeta Phi and USC Sigma Phi Omega The Alpha chapter is an open fraternity, which accepts college students from both junior colleges and four year universities, however the Beta and Gamaa chapters are both closed, requiring that the students attend the host campuses.
