Beta Crateris (β Crt / β Crateris) is a star in the constellation Crater. It also has the traditional name Al Sharasif which is Arabic for "ribs" (of Hydra). This same name is traditionally applied to Nu Hydrae as well, but in a modified form.

Beta Crateris is a white sub-giant belonging to the spectral class A2 and has apparent magnitude 4.48, and is about 265 light years from Earth.
