Besvica

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Besvica is in the southeast of the Republic of Macedonia.

Besvica was a crossroads for many years, between Demir Kapija and its villages to the main highway and farther south into the Kozuf mountain. One of the only 2 mosques in the municipality is located here. It's a good stopping point if you are biking into the mountain. The fountain memorial pours clean water for drinking and the residents are happy to share their interesting stories and coffee with you. Continue on your way to Barovo, Krnjevo, all the way to Konopiste and the Kozuf mountain for a splendid bike-ride. To get here, take the first turn-off in Demir Kapija, as you enter, up, towards the church, and continue on, onto the dirt road, through the grape fields, and over the hill. Besvica is situated at the foot of a plain at the foothills of the larger mountains beyond.
