[edit] Welcome to the Wikipedia!

Hello, Berylliumnitride, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Before you do much else, why not have a look at some of these useful links?

Also, bear in mind the idea of "Talk Pages" - every article and user page has a talk page with it. This is where discussion goes on. To navigate to it, click the "discussion" tab at the top of the page. To leave a comment, click the "+" button at the top of the page. Another Wikipedian will answer it. To leave a user (for example, me) a comment, do this at their user page, which you can get to through their signature.

Speaking of signatures, at the end of your post just leave four tildes (~ - a wavy line) at the end, like so: ~~~~, to automatically produce a signature and time, so everybody else knows who their speaking to!

If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to span class="plainlinks">leave me a message at my talk page, or just add the text "{{helpme}}" to your your talk page and another Wikipedian will come by to help you.

Kind regards,
anthony[cfc] 01:51, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcoming. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Berylliumnitride (talkcontribs)

No problem! When you add a post under the "discussion" tab (look at the top to check if you're in a discussion window or not) just add "~~~~" after it, to produce a signature! Thanks, and don't hesitate to drop by if you need any help! anthony[cfc] 01:58, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
That's three tildes you've added, which produces the signature only - four is best, as it has the time and date too! Don't mean to be a nag, by the way! Oh, and when editing, filling in a really quick note summarising what your edit has been about (eg, expanding section to include info on whatever; replying to message; etc..) is really useful for others who want to check up on what you're doing! anthony[cfc] 02:02, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
