[edit] your vandalism on the Turkish Armed Forces page

bertilvidet you reverted factual information edit and contribution with a "POV" disillusion on 10/15/06. Read carefully, they don't reflect POV. (Personal attack removed) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.130.210.78 (talkcontribs) 19:25, 15 October 2006.

Anon, I suggest you have a look at Wikipedia:Vandalism, because this sure ain't it. —Khoikhoi 19:35, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
Okay, I have blocked the IP user for a period of 48 hours. If you look at your own block log, you'll see a small mistake I initially made lol. Nishkid64 20:01, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. I noticed the little human mistake, that I was blocked. But even though it seems that I was unblocked hte following minute my IP adress still seem to be blocked. Could you have a look at that? Bertilvidet 20:12, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
It isn't? That's strange. I have no clue why that would happen. I'll check it out, though. I unblocked the IP, try it now. Nishkid64 20:21, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
It seems to be ok now. used another internet connection, but is now back on the previous. Bertilvidet 20:25, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

(to Bertil) Yes, this anon is easily recognizable because his IP address (usually) starts with "172"—and of course he's always saying, "hey Bertil, congrats on coming out!", and "hey Bertil, how's your boyfriend Khoikhoi doing these days?" :p So you see, I never fail to notice him! —Khoikhoi 20:32, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

I'm doing pretty good. :-) Been busy with "real life" and all...or at least I try to be. In fact, I'm supposed to be doing work right now. —Khoikhoi 20:37, 15 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Ze

Hi. I'm going to be helping out with the mediation for this dispute. If you agree to allow me to serve as mediator, leave a message on my talk page. --דניאל - Danielrocks123 contribs 02:47, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Gabi reminded me of something that I forgot to mention before and I think I should notify you now. I am Jewish and I do speak Hebrew, so if that affects your decision on whether to accept me as a mediator it is ok with me. I feel that I can be completely unbiased in this discussion. I am perfectly capable of seeing both sides of the argument, and after reading the talk pages on the articles in question, I see that both sides has very valid arguments. Obviously, my goal is to help provide a solution that both sides are happy with. Please notify me on my talk page and if you choose to accept me, we can begin the mediation. --דניאל - Danielrocks123 contribs 22:40, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm glad you (Bertilvidet) agreed, and we can finally sort it out. Thanks. (And I also apologize again for the false accusations... These damned computers will drive us all crazy!) --Gabi S. 21:40, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Now that both parties have agreed to mediation, it has begun at Wikipedia talk:Requests for mediation/Ze. I hope we can come to a conclusion that both parties are happy with! --דניאל - Danielrocks123 contribs 22:56, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Hi, can you please provide some feedback in Wikipedia_talk:Requests_for_mediation/Ze? We have to close these issues one day... --Gabi S. 17:13, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Weird things

From what I can tell, it looks like that user's edits were deleted from the various page histories. Dmcdevit blocked it as an open proxy, and the edits were particularly abusive, so they have no business being in the histories to begin with. Don't worry about it. :) --Coredesat 02:17, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I've put an extremely POV article on AFD

The article Policide is written from an entirely Israeli perspective. It's like writing an article about murder by only giving examples of suicide bombings against Israel. This article was created by a well know POV pusher on the Hezbollah and Hamas pages, so I'm not sure that it can be made NPOV, because doing so would destroy the purpose for which that article was created. [edit] Kurdistan

Hi, I saw you where somewhat in conflict with Cool Cat about Category:Kurdistan. To me this category seems one big mess, and everybody thinks different about what to include. What is, according to you supposed to be in this cat. Do you think that every river, city, airliner that is on claimed Kurdistan ground is supposed to be this category? Bryan 13:14, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Also take a look at this diff [1]. Why should Iraqi Kurdistan not be part of the Category:Iraqi Kurdistan? Would it be a solution if Category:Iraqi Kurdistan would be made a subcat of Category:Kurdistan? Cheers, Bryan 13:17, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Talk:PKK

Hi! 've been some time... Would you have a look at my proposal for the intro of this article? And, don't you think that instead of Effects of PKK, we should create an article like Turkish-Kurdish conflict or something like that? Adding consequences with Turkish politics & society, and relations with EU, and maybe also other Kurdish groups than only the PKK? Tazmaniacs

nice Einstein quote! There's another one from him, which I maybe should put on my page: "A smart man is smart only 7 minutes a day" :) ... Thanks for your greetings, I'm having a recent Wiki fit, but I think I should put a stop to it for some time... I also wanted you to notice the NATO#NATO bases worldwide subsection recently created, maybe you would have some bases to list. It would be a good idea to improve both NATO and the various "foreign relations" article, starting with United States foreign relations (prince's privilege), continuing with United States and South and Central America, and why not United States-European relations as well as United States and Central Asia (of course, Russia and Central Asia and Europe and Central Asia is also a good one). What about Europe and the Meditterrannean region and United States and the Meditterrannean region? Of course, we will need time to make good articles of these, but it would be a good start in having a bit more serious articles than bi-national articles such as "US and so and so", as if Foreign Affairs Ministers thought only in bi-lateral relations without taking attention to geographic zones... Tazmaniacs 18:34, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Also, maybe you would like to review Chilean transition to democracy for spelling mistakes, syntax or any info you could add. There is also an entry where some guy feels like he is owning the page, to a point I've hardly seen before, which is the decisive Algerian Civil War. Any sourced info or restructuration of the article there is badly needed, and it's a hard subject, in all senses of the word. Tazmaniacs 19:23, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
It's about Kurdish refugees from Iraq, but I just translated an article, and it's quite chilling. See for yourself. It would be good to look for sources (French wiki is really messy...) Tazmaniacs 02:18, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] wowturkey images

Yeah, I saw he's back again, but I think he might actually have a point that some of the images he uploaded have uncertain copyright status; for example the one from the Trabzon government website is almost certainly not free-use like the tag claims. Hey Bertil. I personally don't care either way, and even though I would prefer it if we didn't have a separate article on the Kurdish celebration, it's not a big deal. I'll leave a comment if the debate starts to get big again. Khoikhoi 02:57, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] What do you think?

Hi there. Earlier tonight I created this article Separation policy (Israel). It was only after I finished it that I realized that it is very similar to the Hafrada article that you seem to have been working on. Anyway, I was wondering what you think about proposing a merge of the two articles. I mean I should have built up the hafrada one to begin with, but I misunderstood the Wiktionary tag to mean that it was a definition only. Stupid really. Anyway, I'd like to correct the error and merge them and have both titles lead to the same article. What do you think? Tiamut 23:52, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks Bertilvidet. I decided to just go ahead and do it after User:Huldra explained that I could without proposing a merger. I appreciate your work there and on associated pages as well. It means a lot to me that you think it's good. Tiamut 13:45, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] re DTP

let's not beat around the bush: SI doesn't mean anything, CHP is also a member. However, I doubt that they regularly dance around the bonfire singing Ciao Bella together :)) Look, DTP regularly praises an organization considered as terrorist by the majority of the world and whose wrath upon Kurds who do not agree with its methods and ideology is legendary. DTP soc-dec? A party who is exclusively made up of one ethnicity? Even the CHP has a lot of Alevi and Kurdish MPs. I personally reverted attempts to remove "ultra-nationalist" from MHP (which can be argued since it has re-orientated itself as nationalist after the BBP split, who is definitely ultra-nationalist) and I am not going to simply accept a nice "social-democratic" for DTP as if its members do not regularly praise an organization which is considered as terrorist by the whole wide world: Wikipedia only reflects info which is out there, our opinions shouldn't matter, right? :)) Can you show me the sources which point to the oevrwhelming concensus that DTP is considered as "social-democratic"? You know that it is Kurdish nationalist Bertil, you should read their newspapers and news releases from time to time.. PKK not terrorist, DTP social democratic? WTF? Then we plaster all sorts of fascist and ultra-nationalist descriptions to anything which might faintly resemble Turkish nationalism? Isn't that a bit of a POV pushing? I understand terrorist is a WTA thing, but "nationalist" isn't. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. Baristarim 12:07, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

"They consider themselves as soc-dec" is, however, more than acceptable - people have a right to consider themselves in any way they want :) Rose? Come on, maybe they put the rose to give the impression that they are soc-dec and to increase sympathy while actively supporting a terrorist organization? I am not that naive :) Read Ozgur Politika which is published in Europe, they talk about a great Kurdish state stretching from Baghdad to central Iran to Hatay! When a Turk talks about something similar: "ultra-nationalist! genocidal-maniac! Dirty pan-Turkist!!" - I don't see why DTP, PKK or anyone should get a different treatment.. [edit] Red-Green Alliance (Denmark)‎ and upcoming Danish elections

Dear Bertilvidet, thank you for reverting unconstructive edits by IP 90.184.4.231, a clear cut right wing POV pusher on Danish WP. As you know, the Danish parliamentary elections take place on Tuesday. No doubt, the semi-vandalism taking place in this article is politically motivated. Bear in mind, that a section of the RGA sympathisers are non-Danish speaking (and prone to search for info on English language WP). I would appreciate very much if you would watchlist the article until Tuesday. Thank you. Alfons Åberg 15:05, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Muslim Association of Sweden

Hi, I'm looking for an active editor who reads Swedish, to help with the above article. Another editor tells a back-story about this article here. His point is that the article was written as part of a smear campaign against Muslims. He provides a link to an article in Swedish that (he says) demonstrates that the English WP article is a misrepresentation of what actually happened. Would you consider looking at the Swedish sources and amending the English article if you think there is a need?

This story emerges in a huge brou-haha regarding an effort by a pro-Israeli "media watchdog" called CAMERA to coordinate a POV campaign on articles relating to Israel/Palestine - discussions are here and here. I'm not suggesting you need to read all that before deciding what to do about the article - but just be aware of the context that this emerges from. thanks, Nomoskedasticity (talk) 08:30, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
