[edit] shadowclan diskussion

I just read through one of your comments. Perhaps even they will begin to rival the size, activity, and economies of small countries. The origin of this can be traced back to the orc community in Ultima Online known as Shadowclan."

First of all, clans do not have an economy, they do not produce anything. No products, no money flow, so I don't see how they could ever rival the small countries.

Secondly Shadowclan was the first clan to imitate monsters, okay.. but to say creation of clans at all follow back to Shadowclan? I highly doubt that, that Shadowclan ist the FIRST clan ever, nor has it been ever said that way. --Jestix 07:13, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

Good to see that someone reads what I write.

Take a look at Second Life for example, where the exchanging in-game money for real life money is actively encouraged as part of the economy. MMORPG is an evolving genre, and it is natural as the worlds become more realistic for the communities within them to become more realistic.

Shadowclan is certainly not the first community of online players. The statement was that Shadowclan was the first community of its type. As online worlds become more realistic, it is likely that more Shadowclan-type communities will form. Berog 05:00, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
