Talk:Bertrand and Beatrice Baudelaire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Since Beatrice is definitely dead, the survivor of the Baudelaire Mansion fire - if there was one - must have been Mr. Baudelaire."
Not really. At least one other person was present. Lemony Snicket helped Beatrice commit a serious crime, and is wanted for arson. Doesn't all this suggest that Snicket's the survivor? TheMadBaron 19:36, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
- Definitely original research, and very tenuous at that. The BBRE strongly suggests it was Olaf there on the day of the fire, so there's a stronger case for him being the survivor. Also, are you trying to imply that Lemony helped Beatrice burn down her own home? How does that make sense?

[edit] Mrs. Baudelaire's name
Mrs Baudelaire's name is a major spoiler and so it should be stated only after the spoiler warning. Unless anyone cares to refute? Dirk Amoeba 22:30, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Seperate
Shouldn't there be seperate articles on Bertrand, BB1 and BB2? Information about BB1 is scattered between Mr. and Mrs. Baudelaire and this page. Pacaman! 23:28, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Clean-up
What specifically required clean-up? Mrmoocow 02:54, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think Mrs. Baudelaire's section requires cleanup. What should remain here and what should be in the Beatrice article? <3Clamster 04:05, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

- Well, I've recently cut down some of Mrs. Baudelaire's section, but it's still extremely long. It's very confusing with what to do, because we have two pages which have sections of the same character, but none that could really be considered the 'main' article. Mrmoocow 05:07, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

- In terms of what to do with other article; currently, the section of 'Old Beatrice' on the Beatrice Baudelaire is empty, and the page mostly deals with young (Kit's daughter) Beatrice. I propose this; make 'Beatrice (A Series of Unfortunate Events)', and 'Beatrice Baudelaire' redirect to a disambiguation page, which would link to the separate locations of both the Beatrice. Also, we could give both of them their own page; Beatrice Baudelaire (younger) and Beatrice Baudelaire (older) (older)]]... but then this would mean Bertrand would have his own page, and their really isn't much to say about him. Do you agree? And if we do go through with something like this, what do we do with Bertrand? Mrmoocow 05:07, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've made a semi-solution for now. Beatrice Baudelaire is now a disambiguation page, and the information that was there is now just the younger Beatrice, since all older Beatrice information is on this page. Anyway, the Mrs. Baudelaire section has been significantly cut down already. Can the tag be removed? I think all information there is relevant. Mrmoocow 23:41, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Bertrand and Beatrice?
It was agreed here that this article should stay at Mr. and Mrs. Baudelaire, so why's it been moved back again without debate? 217.42.64.91 16:43, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Beatricesnicket.jpg
Image:Beatricesnicket.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
