[edit] Roger Bacon invented gunpowder?

Can't seem to find a reference for this anywhere, so I've removed this fact. Gunpowder says it was invented in China. CameronHarris 18:17, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

According to a book on the history of gunpowder, Bertholdt was a myth, made to lend credence to Germans inventing firearms. AllStarZ 17:27, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

He did not invent firearms. Deleting section. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.205.62.146 (talk) 23:45, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
