This page is wholly inaccurate. As reflected by another individual's entries that have since been removed, Dr. Petersen is not currently with HUMC or the UMDNJ. He is also not currently a correspondent for CBS, or the Chairman of the Board of the Uppen Manhattan Division of the ACS. This would explain the lack of reference for a large portion of this page. To the extent Wikipedia is interested in maintaining up-to-date, accurate information, I would suggest that "Coldbourne" (curiously a member of the anti-vandalism unit) refrain from insiting on the posting of outdated and incorrect material. And by the way, you spelled "adviser" wrong in the last paragraph regarding the Kimelman Institute.Jimminycricket37 17:16, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Accuracy

All information was derived from the sources provided at the bottom of the page and checked for accuracy with the subject of the article. If there is any question as to the veracity of any of the information provided, it would be necessary to provide documentation (excluding personal opinion) that would attest to said inaccuracy. Citing allegations currently pending against the New Jersey Medical School have absolutely no purpose nor bearing in this article, and would be better served on the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey page. Furthermore, a personal attack citing thinly veiled accusations of vandalism is not only inappropriate, but completely bereft of any merit and violates the No Personal Attack policy of Wikipedia (WP:NPA). Your grammatical advice has been kindly accepted and the appropriate change has been made. Cheers. Coldbourne 20:17, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

There is not one iota of reference to the current status of Dr. Petersen at HUMC, UMDNJ, ACS, or CBS. Perhaps visit the websites of these various institutions, and you will learn that Dr. Petersen is no longer an affilitate of any of them, and update the site accordingly. Suggesting that someone post a non-existent reference is absurd; perhaps you should attempt to post a reference that supports the claims of employment that you have made. And I should remind you, "Coldbourne," that the "accusations of vandalism" against another vigilant member of the Wikipedia community were initially yours.Jimminycricket37 03:28, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

As I have stated previously, the links provided gives as accurate an account of the status of Dr. Petersen as can be assessed. Giving erroneous unsupported accusations as evidence is, I am afraid, poor form and an impotent method of dispute. Dr. Petersen's credentials were pulled primarily from danaroc.com, though I did take the time to e-mail Ms. Roc and ascertain the source of her information prior to posting the information on this page. The source of the information was Dr. Petersen himself, and was accurate as of approximately one year ago. I doubt very much has changed, but just to be sure I did indulge your accusations insofar as to check Dr. Petersen's status at Hackensack. His employment verification is listed here, you will find him under Breast Oncology Division Chiefs. A brief write up on the good doctor is also provided by Hackensack on this page. I do realize it can be especially tiring to actually search for information rather then simply slander an individual, therefore I do hope you appreciate my finding your iota for you. I am sorry that you find it absurd that you would have to provide references when you are making accusations, but alas Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a forum for public opinion. Feel free to further your experience here by reading about the requirements of attribution of reliable sources, as well as reading a little farther then the top of my user page and using the Helpful Links provided.
Although I do hesitate to dignify your imputation with comment, I will point out that your "vigilant member of the Wikipedia community" has no other contributions other than the entries here. You are more than welcome to check mine. And by the way, Adviser can be spelled with either an E or an O. I find dictionary.com to be an editors best friend.
Cheers mate. --Coldbourne 22:06, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Your staunch defense of this page has grown tiresome.

(1) Dr. Richard J. Davies is the sole Chairman of Breast Surgery at HUMC. [1] You will find no mention of Dr. Petersen on the current HUMC Department of Surgery, Breast Surgery Division, webpage.

(2) Dr. Stanley Waintraub is the sole Director of the Division of Breast Oncology at HUMC. [2] Again, you will find no mention of Dr. Petersen on that Division's current webpage (feel free to click on the "Division Medical Staff" link).

(3) Feel free to search the UMDNJ physician directory.[3] Again, Dr. Petersen is not listed (to search the directory for Dr. Petersen, enter the letter "P" in the "Last Name" box).

You took the time to email the omnipotent source of accurate information, danaroc.com, to support your claims. Perhaps you should try emailing HUMC and UMDNJ as well. And maybe give the Upper Manhattan Division of the ACS a call - Dr. Petersen stepped down from the Board of Advisors late last year. Jimminycricket37 00:13, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

And here's a link to a March 24, 2007 seminar during which Dr. Petersen was a panelist, describing him as the "Former Chief of Breast Surgery, Hackensack University Medical Center." [4] Convinved yet? Jimminycricket37 19:33, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

I suppose I am quite curious as to the specific targeting of this article by a new member(s) of the community, not to mention the apparent familiarity of Dr. Petersen's career that is displayed. Comments such as

"Dr. Petersen stepped down from the Board of Advisors late last year"

is an indication of a lot more then a Google search. That information was nowhere online that I could find.
I am puzzled by the incessant attack against the veracity of this article. Such tenacity is rarely exhibited over so trivial an article without a personal or professional vendetta. Either way, caveat lector.
I cited danaroc due to the fact that when I contacted the site administrator, I was informed that all of the information was provided by Dr. Petersen himself, as I have already stated. I would thank you to actually read my comments before launching into yet another round of ranting. I am requesting a current biography from Dr. Petersen in order to settle this matter, so I do hope that you continue to enjoy your experience on Wikipedia. Feel free to contribute to other articles and try someone else's patience. Cheers. --Coldbourne 20:10, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
