[edit] notability

Does being nominated for an award establish notability? --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 16:41, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Doesn't it? I suppose that might depend on the number of awards, how prestigious they are, and whether they were simply nominations or longlisted or shortlisted...?
Anyway, here are multiple, non-trivial, independent published works about this book: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. I will add these into the article.

Yeah, I guess you're right. BTW, one of the refs says that the book was shortlisted at Carnegie. --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 17:15, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
Actually it was her previous book, Beast, that was shortlisted for the 2007 Carnegie Medal. The shortlists for the 2008 Carnegie Medal haven't been announced yet; Berserk is on the longlist. (Yes, the titles are confusing. And to continue that pattern, apparently her third book will be called Bedlam!) -- KittyRainbow (talk) 17:30, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
