[edit] Endangered?
first of all, you do not have to tell about the conservation status in the main body. Simply look up the species at the IUCN (world conservation union) here [1]. then, in the taxbox (usually just after the image) make a line saying "| status = " after the = sign, write the abbreviation of the animal's status: LC-least concern, NT- near threatened, LR/cd- consevation dependent, VU- vulnerable, EN- endangered, CR- Criticly endangered , EW- extinct in the wild, EX- extinct (unless it is a fossil, then write "extinct (fossil" whrere the staus would be). Also, the text (missing a citation) list a population of 90. the IUCN does not include this angelfish in its list of thretened species ([2]) Therefore, once must infer that the status in "Least Concerm" I have a feeling that a population of 90 animals in the wild would certainly not be common for a "least Concern" animal. I'm going to add the IUCN staus for this species, but i still belive that this section should be deleted and if this fact is correct, it should have a reliable reference added and should be incorperedated into the rest of the passage. -let someone within wikiproject fished know if you have any questions Ryan shell (talk) 00:58, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

- I've been looking at the history of this artle, and it looks like the "90" regarding population is just vandalism by an IP adress with no other contributions. i'll restore the origonal number, but i still be live this section should be encorperated elseware. -cheers!
