[edit] New Zealand connection?

Why is it relevant that there are less than 100 purebred sows in New Zealand? Presumably, the majority of pigs are in Britain.-gadfium 23:38, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

  • I could be wrong, but I think that the continued survival of some rare breeds like this one rely on breeding in places like Australia and NZ. I know that some once popular English pig breeds no longer exist in their country of origin. I can't remember where I read this, so I won't update the article page.
