Dr. The Honourable Ewart Frederick Brown Jr., JP, MP (born 1946) is the Premier of Bermuda, leader of the Bermuda Progressive Labour Party (PLP), Minister of Tourism and Transport in the Cabinet, and Member of Parliament for the constituency of Warwick South Central.

Brown was elected leader of the ruling Progressive Labour Party on October 30, 2006, defeating his predecessor, Alex Scott, at a PLP delegates conference. He is the third leader of the PLP since the party won the last general election in 2003.

Brown is also a physician and medical director of Bermuda Healthcare Services.

He is married to Wanda Henton Brown and has four sons from a previous marriage. (more...)



Dame Lois Marie Browne-Evans, D.B.E., J.P., (1 June 1927 - 29 May 2007) led the Bermudian Progressive Labour Party in opposition before being appointed Bermuda's first female Attorney-General. She first gained recognition in 1953 as the Bermuda's first female barrister. Browne-Evans died of undisclosed causes on May 29, 2007, three days before her 80th birthday. (more...)



Leonardo Shaun Goater MBE (born 25 February 1970 in Hamilton, Bermuda) is a footballer who played as a striker for a number of English clubs in the 1990s and 2000s.

Goater's first professional club was Manchester United, but he did not reach the first team, making his League debut in 1989 after moving to Rotherham. He played for Rotherham for seven years before moving to Bristol City in 1996. Two years later he moved to Manchester City for a fee of £400,000.

He is most well known for his time at Manchester City, where he scored over 100 goals between 1998 and 2003, finishing as the club's top scorer for four consecutive seasons. After leaving City, Goater had spells with Reading, Coventry and Southend United, before retiring in May 2006.
