[edit] Summary

'Bermuda Volunteer Rifle Corps (BVRC) cap badges. BVRC (top, left), 1895-1948; Bermuda Rifles (top, right), 1948-1965; Royal Lincolnshire Regiment. The 'Royal' was added as an accolade after the Second World War. The BVRC sent two contingents to the Lincolns in each world war. Following the Great War, the Lincolns maintained a relationship to the BVRC akin to that with its own Territorial battalions. The Lincolnshire Regiment ultimately was amalgamated into the Royal Anglian Regiment (RAR) in the 1960s. The BVRC, re-titled 'Bermuda Rifles' in 1948, was amalgamated into the Bermuda Regiment in 1965. The RAR and the Bermuda Regiment continue the same familial relationship as their predecessors.
