Berycopsis is an extinct genus of ray-finned fish from the Cretaceous period. It was about 35 cm (1 ft 2 in) long and one of the first members of the Acanthopterygii, which includes the present day barracuda, swordfish, seahorse and flatfish. Berycopsis belonged to the still existing beardfish family.
