Berwick

Berwick-upon-Tweed (historically known as South Berwick) is a border town in the north of England. Originally part of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Northumbria it has at various times also been part of Scotland. North Berwick in Scotland is named in contrast to it. The "w" in both these names is silent.
