Berubians Theatre Company

The Berubians Theatre Company was created by Chris Berube in 1981. The purpose of its creation was to create a theatre company that evolved around the performers.
Chris Berube has an extensive history and resume, working for over two decades in the film and theatre industry of Los Angeles, California. He currently resides in the Los Angeles.
The Company evolved into three theaters that span the greater Los Angeles area: The Second Stage in Orange County, California; The Next Stage and the Tres Stage in Hollywood, California. The Tres Stage is now under the direction of the Ethos Theatre Company.

These spaces are now the stepping stones for a significant amount of up and coming comedy in the greater Los Angeles Area. The Next Stage is a home to: sketch Comedy, The Ethos Theatre Company, and the Next Stage house improv troupe, Id Vicious.

The Next Stage is also home to several ongoing shows over the years.
The Big Audition - Part improv, part written, The Big Audition allows audience members to fake audition for a fake acting company. In the show, a tapestry of story evolves as the pho-regular company members of the S.H.I.T.E. Theatre (Showcase Hollywood International Talent Ensemble) show off their "skills" as actors, all led by the director and former child star.
Giving Thanks - A series of 5 heartwarming holiday one-act plays comes together as we see various family members and their holiday woes.
Tales From the Shadow Zone - A series of 5 Outer Limits-esque one-act plays that delights any fans of the show and general science fiction lovers.
Monty Pythong - An all-female cast brings a new twist to old Monty Python classic sketches. Any fan of the series gets a new take on hilarious scripts adapted for the stage.
